The service

Bloomfolio provides homeschool compliance tracking, activity logging, AI-assisted tools (Sage), and document generation for supported U.S. states: AL, AZ, CA, CO, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, NC, NH, NJ, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, and WI. The state guides list them in full.

Bloomfolio is not a school, school district, evaluator, or law firm. We are a software tool that helps you organize your homeschool records.

Features and limits depend on your plan. The Pricing page is the source of truth for current plan limits:

• Free — up to 3 students, a replenishing Sage message pool (20 to start, 5 more each day, up to 30), core tracking. Document generation is part of the paid plans.
• Essential — $8/month — unlimited documents + fuller Sage / AI features
• Family — $15/month — larger-household features as described on the pricing page

We may improve, add, or retire features. If we remove something material from a paid plan, we will try to give reasonable notice.

Accounts

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. One household account is intended for your family—not for reselling seats as a public service unless we agree in writing.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction (generally 18+) to open an account.

Acceptable use

Please use Bloomfolio lawfully and kindly. Do not:

• Break the law or others' rights
• Attempt to hack, scrape abusively, or disrupt the service
• Upload malware or content you do not have rights to use
• Misrepresent Bloomfolio documents as official state forms when they are not
• Use Sage to generate content you then present as legal advice or an attorney's work product

We may suspend or terminate accounts that create risk for other families or for the service.

Not legal advice / no filing guarantee

Bloomfolio provides software tools and informational guides. We are not a law firm. Nothing in the product is legal advice, and using Bloomfolio does not create an attorney–client relationship.

State and district rules change—sometimes mid-year. Interpretations drift. Courts issue rulings. Legislatures amend statutes. We do our best to keep our guides current, but we do not promise to notify you of every legal change that might affect your family. You are responsible for verifying requirements with your school district, superintendent, or state education department, and for the accuracy of what you submit.

Your responsibility

You—the parent or guardian—are responsible for your homeschool compliance. That responsibility does not transfer to Bloomfolio regardless of whether we showed a reminder, checklist item, status indicator, or "confidence" badge. Our tools help you organize; the decisions and filings are yours.

Reminders and deadlines

Bloomfolio may send optional reminder emails or display in-app deadline prompts. These are a convenience feature—not a guarantee that you will meet a deadline if you follow them, and not a duty of care on our part. Reminders can be late, wrong, or missing due to bugs, data-entry errors, or rule changes we have not yet incorporated.

In-app labels such as "on track," "behind," or similar confidence indicators are estimates for organization only—not legal determinations that you have (or have not) met a district or state requirement.

Learning outcomes and evaluations

Bloomfolio does not evaluate your child's academic progress, administer standardized tests, or certify grade-level achievement. We provide record-keeping tools. Any insights, summaries, or "progress" displays are organizational aids—not educational assessments or guarantees of learning outcomes.

AI / Sage and generated documents

Sage and other AI features can make mistakes—sometimes confidently. AI-generated descriptions, narratives, subject tags, hour estimates, and documents may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate for your district's expectations.

Always review AI-generated content before you rely on it, show it to an evaluator, or file it with a school or agency. You remain responsible for the final content you keep or submit. If an evaluator or district rejects a document, that is between you and them—not a defect in Bloomfolio.

Trials, billing, cancellation

Paid plans may include a 14-day free trial as shown at signup/pricing. After a trial, you will not be charged unless you subscribe.

Subscriptions renew monthly until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in account/billing settings; you keep paid access through the end of the period already paid.

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars on Pricing. We do not claim annual billing discounts on these Terms unless and until annual billing is offered in the product.

30-day money-back guarantee

If you subscribe to a paid plan and you are not happy, contact us within 30 days of the charge for a full refund—no questions asked, consistent with our pricing promise.

Refunds are returned to the original payment method when possible. After 30 days, fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where we choose to make an exception.

Free plan use does not involve a paid charge to refund.

Intellectual property

Bloomfolio's software, branding, and original content are owned by us or our licensors. You keep ownership of the family content you upload or create. You grant us a limited license to host and process that content only to operate the product for you.

Guides and blog posts are for personal, non-commercial use unless we say otherwise.

Third-party services

Payments, email, hosting, and AI inference may be provided by third parties under their terms. Your use of Google sign-in, Stripe, or similar services may also be governed by those providers.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that Bloomfolio will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will ensure compliance with any school or agency.

Limitation of liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. THIS LIMITATION APPLIES TO CLAIMS ARISING FROM MISSED COMPLIANCE DEADLINES, REMINDER FAILURES, AI-GENERATED CONTENT, DOCUMENT ERRORS, EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES, OR ANY OTHER USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM (OR $50 IF YOU ONLY USED FREE).

Some places do not allow certain limitations; in those places, our liability is limited to the maximum allowed.

Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your content, your filings with schools or agencies, your reliance on reminders or status indicators, or your misuse of the service—except to the extent caused by our willful misconduct.

Termination

You may stop using Bloomfolio anytime. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the product (with reasonable notice when practical). Provisions that should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity) survive termination.

Changes

We may update these Terms. We will change the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice when appropriate. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms for subsequent use.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer law in your home state says otherwise. Courts in Hays County, Texas may hear disputes, subject to applicable consumer protections.
